Self directed – Creating contemporary piece titled ‘Ableism’ – which is a commentary on the hypocrisy of many places that claim to be accessible to disabled people
COLLABORATIONS
Wake Up and Art – In July 2023 I founded an online daily art practice group that meet at 9am (2pm in Winter) to spend 1 hour together making art/writing. The group is mainly formed of people who are immune-compromised and cannot meet in person.
‘Dissolution‘ writing and collaborating with digital artist Darren Blanch on a graphic novel that tracks an event in the life of one woman, and how it effects her and those around her. Planned completion end of 2022.
‘Inversion‘ will examine the nature of Billarga (The Pilliga) via non-natural materials and range from textile printing to digital photography. Completion June 2021 – exhibition SPACE June 2021 (postponed due to COVID)
Unbent/Unbroken
A video art collaboration with artists from NSW and QLD to be shown online and at digital exhibitions. The collaboration delves into our emotions and actions during isolation. Launching online in May 2021
Whispered Histories
An audio/visual art project recording the stories of local Gamilaray Elders. Using my experience in podcasting, radio broadcasting, audio editing, I will be acting as the audio engineer, website developer, and podcast developer. Launching in June 2021
High Risk
Working with poets and artists from WriteUp! in the Newcastle area. This project is winding up with art produced by Creatives Collective ARI inc. inspiring poetry by WriteUP! members and vice versa. 2020/2021
